I have had problems using not-sharp-enough human hair cutting scissors for my Australian Shepherd. This set has worked great and with long enough blades to be fine for my needs. My dog doesn't struggle as he had before from the thinning shears pulling and the regular scissor blades have stayed sharp to the tips for about a dozen sessions so far. I am not grooming a "show" dog, so I don't know if someone more particular than I am would find these sharp enough for very precise grooming, but if it is for a shaggy pet, they work just fine. I also like the length for getting hair between the paws before a nail cutting session with my Dremel filing tool. It's nice to have them packaged as a set as well, so all you need is kept together. |
