Now you'llremove shedding hair before it ends up all over your house, furnitureand clothes. Your pets will love it and you'll be amazed to see howmuch hair was trapped in the coat.Customer Reviews:I tried tis product on my long hair lab. The amount of hair that cameoff of him was incredible. There was a pile the size of a small puppy! His coat also seemed a bit shinnier and softer.By A. Herman I tried this out on all 4 of my dogs and my 1 cat as soon as I got it inthe box... if I spent more time brushing them I'd use this comb everytime. I have 2 labs, 2 chihuahua/pomeranians and 1 cat, all prettyshort haired. My cat? Not so much... it made this scraping sound he didn't like so I don't use it on him. My dogs? They all love it! My only problem is getting them to situp instead of rolling over on their backs for a tummy brush! You willclean out the comb after several strokes but it's not a big deal, justwipe with your fingers. Granted the commercial shows gobs of hair beingpulled off of a dog and I'm sure you can get that over time but again Ihave short haired dogs. It reached the undercoat and helped with theshedding a little bit but for the most part I do it for my dogsenjoyment... it's a great scratch for them and a good de-shedder foryou! By C. Trentham My Shed Ender brush arrived yesterday, and today I gave it a trial-runon my three cats. This is what I found... The brush isn't as effectiveon my two short-haired cats though it did remove loose fur from theirhard-to-reach places in the middle of their backs (near their tails),and it did spruce them up as well. But with my long-haired cat, itworked wonders! Gobs and gobs of fur came off his body - I actuallyfelt sorry for Callie, thinking how he has carr

4.0 out of 5 stars worth having around for us, April 1, 2006

This also works for me very well, but I had to use it for a while to get the hang of it. It's important to hold it at a 90 degree angle to the coat, brush in the direction that the fur is growing, apply a little bit of pressure and use the comb facing in the right direction. Some of our cats hate the wire brush I use, especially the one with diabetes who has tender skin, and it does seem to irritate all of them after a bit of use. The wire brush also makes noise as it passes over their fur which some of them don't like. They all seem to like this comb, it's silent, doesn't hurt, and does pull out a lot of big clumps of undercoat, leaving all five of our cats looking and feeling better than they ever have before. In fact, they like it! It naturally gets more fur out of the ones with thick undercoats, but I noticed it pulling fur out of the undercoats of the ones with thinner coats who usually don't have a lot of hair that comes out on a brush.

This comb is very small... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars furminator the more efficient tool, August 1, 2006
Lain (Beverly Hills, CA USA) - See all my reviews
i got this for my cat (ocicat breed). he's a short-haired cat that doesn't generally need much grooming except when the season changes. shedender worked just like the commericals. one brush and fur goes flying everywhere. it does remove hair however the teeth of the comb are not deep so the removed hair goes either flying or stays on top of the fur towards the back. as u can see in the picture the tool is small. if you have the patience and extra time (and if your pet has the patience too!) u can think about saving some money with this tool. if you want something more efficient, invest some extra money and go for the furminator instead. i bought both and compared them but i'm keeping my furminator despite the much higher price.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work, November 18, 2005
Wally "Wally" (St. Louis, MO USA) - See all my reviews
I tried the tool and it is junk. The way the handle holds the blade, you can't control the angle and it is very difficult to use. The caps covering the screws both fell off and the handle feels hard and cheap. I tried a friend's furminator and it worked 10 times better.
