The Grip Soft Double Row Undercoat Rake is used to loosen lightly matted parts of the coat and to lift out dead and shedding hair from the undercoat while leaving the outer coat undisturbed. I have had Shepherds for over 20 years and have wasted tons of money on various combs/rakes/brushes/curries trying to find something that works on this breed's coat. My search is over! I just had the most productive 30 minute grooming session EVER with my 11 year old Shepherd. Very little effort on my part to get tons of that hard-to-get undercoat out and Jenna loved it so much she FELL ASLEEP during the session! I had to wake her up to have her roll over so I could do the other side and she immediately fell right back asleep...must feel like a doggie massage!
